Rebecca (Becky) Weyenberg has been promoted to CFO-assistant general manager at Berkeley Hall Club in Bluffton.
Weyenberg joined Berkeley Hall Club as chief financial officer last June. In her new role, she will continue her duties of financial oversight and strategic planning.
With more than 22 years of financial and management experience, Weyenberg is skilled at leading all aspects of the finance function.
Prior to joining Berkeley Hall Club, she served as vice president of global processes, standards and shared services for global agricultural firm AGCO Corporation, headquartered near Atlanta.
Weyenberg was responsible for designing and driving global business strategy for the consolidation and standardization of business processes and directing a team dedicated to business transformation activities across Europe and China.

Erich K. Schmid, president of Business Intermediary Services, Ltd. (BIS), has relocated the firm from North Carolina to Hilton Head Island.
Founded in 1994, BIS is a merger and acquisition (M&A) advisory firm serving owners of lower, middle-market companies who want to either sell or grow their business via acquisition. BIS also offers business valuation services and corporate development consulting.
Prior to founding BIS, Schmid had corporate M&A careers with three New York Stock Exchange listed companies: The Babcock & Wilcox Company, J. Ray McDermott & Co., Inc. and Tidewater Inc.
In 1985 he joined a general business brokerage firm in Asheville, N.C., where he specialized in lower, middle-market transactions.
During his nine years in general business brokerage, he performed valuations of several hundred businesses and was involved in more than 100 transactions.
Schmid has both a B.S. in industrial management and M.S. in management from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Schmid also studied strategic planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Business.
He was instrumental in founding the Carolinas-Virginia Business Brokers Association and served as its first president.
He is a member of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors and has been designated a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor.
Schmid is also a member of the Association of Corporate Growth. He is a licensed real estate broker in both North Carolina and South Carolina.

Christopher Corkern, with The Prudential Insurance Co. and president of The Corkern Group, has been named to the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for the 12th consecutive year.
