Though the seasonal slow-down for business changes is in effect, those changes still occur. Here's the latest in new construction, renovations, relocations, mergers, planned projects, closings and grand openings.

Slapfish, 153 Arrow Road, Hilton Head Island. This fast-casual "modern seafood shack" operating with 20 franchises in a handful of states plans to open its first Lowcountry restaurant next year. The company was founded in 2011.

Grand openings, ribbon cuttings and closings:

Fuzzy's Taco Shop, 448 Independence Blvd. (U.S. 278 at exit 8), Hardeeville, Nov. 5. This national chain of Baja-style taco eateries opened recently at the Enmarket truck plaza. The menu focuses on 12 types of tacos, nachos, quesadillas, 11 types of burritos, burrito bowls, soups and salads, a variety of starters with chips, enchilada and fajita dinner plates, an assortment of sides and a kids' menu. Breakfast is served daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Joe's Ice Cream and Beverage Co., 15 Bruin Road, Bluffton, Oct. 23. This new establishment serves premium ice cream, four wine-based ice cream flavors, coffee and tea. Customers must be over 21 to purchase cherry merlot, chocolate cabernet and other alcoholic flavors.

Your CBD Store, 2121 Boundary St., Beaufort. Jessica Rollins, owner of the company's franchise on Hilton Head, opened this second location in early November. The store sells health-based, non-THC cannabis products in the form of edibles, tinctures, soft gels, vaping e-liquids and topical applications.
